Another week of Men’s Premier League action has brought us one step closer to the finals, but the race for the top four remains as open as ever. With just five points separating third and ninth on the ladder, every result is proving crucial as teams continue to jostle for position.
Kissing Point strengthened their position with an important home victory, while Dalleys extended their impressive run of form with another clean sheet and all three points. North Sydney United returned to winning ways in style, while honours were shared in the clashes between Northbridge and Knox, and Berowra and Chatswood.

Northbridge FC 1 – 1 Knox United
Northbridge have made a habit of dramatic victories in recent weeks, but as the title race enters its final stages, they would have been hoping for a more straightforward victory. Knox, meanwhile, arrived determined to respond after back-to-back defeats and challenge the league leaders.
A Friday night clash under lights at Northbridge Oval set the stage for a tightly contested encounter. Chances were limited throughout the opening half, with both sides struggling to break the deadlock. It was Knox who struck first, just five minutes before the break, earning a penalty that James White calmly converted to give the visitors a 1-0 lead.
Trailing at half-time, Northbridge came out with renewed intent in search of an equaliser to protect their advantage at the top of the table. They continued to build pressure throughout the second half, with a series of attacking substitutions helping shift the momentum in their favour.
Their persistence was finally rewarded in the 80th minute when they were awarded a penalty of their own. Derek Karapetian made no mistake from the spot, levelling the scores at 1-1. Despite a late push for a winner, Northbridge couldn’t find a second goal, with the points ultimately shared at full-time.
While the league leaders would have preferred all three points, the draw keeps them seven points clear at the top of the table with just four matches remaining.
West Pymble FC 1 – 5 North Sydney United
Coming into this clash at NTRA, both sides were eager to bounce back after a run of disappointing results. With the season entering its final stretch, a win would provide valuable momentum in the race to finish in the finals.
It was a tightly contested opening half, with West Pymble breaking the deadlock in the 36th minute through Luke Currie. The hosts looked set to take their advantage into the break, but North Sydney United struck at the perfect time as James Dyer found the equaliser just before half-time to send the sides into the sheds level at 1-1.
The second half began in a similarly even fashion before North Sydney United took control. Adam O’Connor restored the visitors’ advantage, and just 13 minutes later Dyer grabbed his second of the afternoon to give his side breathing room. With the momentum firmly on their side, North Sydney United continued to press forward as Drummond added a fourth before O’Connor completed his brace to seal an emphatic 5-1 victory.
The convincing win provides a timely boost for North Sydney United, who will be looking to build on the performance as they continue their push towards the finals. With confidence restored, they’ll believe they can challenge any side in the competition.
Berowra FC 0 – 0 Chatswood Rangers
There were three yellow cards in this match, and Chatswood made four substitutions.
Willoughby Dalleys 1 – 0 Hornsby Heights
This Match of the Round clash shaped as an important contest, with Dalleys arriving in strong form and Hornsby Heights knowing they could match it with any side in the division on their day.
It was Dalleys who struck first, taking the lead in the 20th minute through James Laming. The early breakthrough gave the home side something to protect, and they looked determined to make the most of their advantage.
The contest remained competitive throughout the remainder of the first half, with tensions rising between the two sides. Despite a few heated moments, Dalleys held firm and took their 1-0 lead into the break.
Heights pushed forward in the second half and turned to their bench in search of an equaliser. However, Dalleys’ defence stood tall, denying every attacking opportunity that came their way. Their disciplined performance ensured the single goal was enough to secure all three points and another valuable clean sheet.
The victory keeps Dalleys’ late-season surge alive. While they remain ninth on the ladder, they now sit just five points outside the top three and will be hoping to continue their charge towards the finals in the weeks ahead.
Congratulations to Mark Zabica, whose commanding display at the back helped lead Dalleys to another clean sheet and a crucial victory, making him the Player of the Round.

Kissing Point FC 3 – 2 Lindfield FC
Another chapter in one of the competition’s fiercest recent rivalries in recent years unfolded under the lights at Auluba, with plenty of anticipation surrounding the clash. As usual, there was no shortage of talk on social media in the lead-up, adding intrigue before the whistle.
Kissing Point made the perfect start, racing to a two-goal lead inside the opening 20 minutes through Lachie Marlin and Sean Connell. Lindfield responded well, refusing to let the game slip away, and pulled one back in the 28th minute to head into the break trailing 2-1.
The visitors carried that momentum into the second half and found an equaliser in the 63rd minute when captain James Plumley converted from the penalty spot. After seeing their early advantage disappear, Kissing Point responded in impressive fashion. Just 12 minutes later, George Mannion continued his outstanding goalscoring form, restoring the hosts’ lead at 3-2.
Lindfield threw everything forward in the closing stages in search of another equaliser, but Kissing Point stood firm defensively to secure an important 3-2 victory. The result sees the hosts bounce back after last week’s setback and strengthens their grip on a top-two position and a home semi-final. Whilst their hopes of catching the league leaders remain slim, they are still alive heading into the final rounds.
