The Female Coach Mentoring Program is open to all female coaches from throughout the NSFA region, regardless of age, ambition or experience in coaching.
The FCMP has two programs that provide participants a variety of unique opportunities to help progress their personal and football coaching development. This will be achieved through a series of workshops, mentoring opportunities, and exclusive presentations and experiences.
The aim of the program is to attract, retain and develop female coaches through an inclusive supporting network. This supports our strategic goal of increasing female coach representation within NSFA to 25% by 2023.
FCMP participants will be mentored by Eilidh Mackay (pictured top of page, Northern Tigers FC Coach & Girls SAP Technical Director), along with exposure to the wider NSFA Coach Development team and Northern Tigers FC coaching staff.
There is our FCMP Flexible Program that does not have a required time commitment as we understand that all coaches have different time constraints and commitments. Therefore, you decide what development opportunities to attend while being part of a supportive network of female coaches.
Alternatively, we have the FCMP Accelerated Program which is an application process. If you are looking for a unique experience to support coaches who are committed to reaching their personal and coaching goals. For example, to take on a leadership position within football such as Diamond League Head Coach, Club Coaching Coordinator, Technical Director, or progress with your coaching. The program is free for successful candidates.
Coaches must attend minimum 6 sessions throughout the year and be committed to their personal development. Some examples of what type of sessions include:
- Online Workshops
- In-Person Workshops
- Observing Football Environments
- On-ground mentoring
- Creating an individual coach development plan
If you have any questions regarding either of the two program please contact Eilidh Mackay – email@example.com.
