The Inaugural NSFA Thea Slatyer Cup (Girls’ High School Tournament)
Hosted at the Northern Suburbs Football Association (NSFA) home of football, the NSFA Thea Slatyer Cup is brand-new competition across an exciting two days of school football. Bringing together high school teams from across the Northern Suburbs of Sydney, the tournament intends to celebrate girls playing football by showcasing the inclusiveness, enjoyment, and camaraderie the game provides.
The Thea Slatyer Cup is FREE to enter.
The NSFA Thea Slatyer Cup will be conducted across two days, with teams in Years 7 & 8 taking part in the Junior Cup on Day 1, before Years 9 & 10 and Years 11 & 12 participating in the Senior Cup on Day 2.
Teams will score points throughout the day by winning matches however they will have the chance to be awarded bonus points throughout the day for a variety of reasons, including fair play and school spirit.
Behind the name:
Thea Slatyer started her Youth career at Northbridge FC and Greenwich FC. She is an Olympian, and former member of the Australia Women’s National Football Team, The Matildas.
