NSFA Junior Development League

The goal of the NSFA JDL is to improve development opportunities for players and coaches within our local football clubs, while also underpinning the Northern Tigers JDL and the NSFA Super League and Diamond League competitions.

The NSFA JDL League is managed by NSFA and further supports the strategic objectives of the NSFA in providing professionally run development pathways for aspirational NSFA footballers.

2026 Junior Development League Clubs

The 2026 NSFA Junior Development League (JDL) represents the next exciting step in the new Development Process, designed to provide participants with a quality football experience within a competitive and supportive environment. The JDL continues to challenge and inspire talented, aspirational players and coaches across the NSFA.

The refreshed structure focuses on developing thriving, sustainable NSFA clubs that can deliver a full football pathway — from grassroots through to advanced levels — while enhancing opportunities for players to progress within the game.

In 2026, the Girls Junior Development League will expand to include the Under 11 competition, alongside the continuation of the Under 10 age group, further strengthening the pathway for young female players across the region.
