Coaches will:
- remember that players and officials participate for their enjoyment
- not argue or approach a match official if I disagree with a decision
- never engage in offensive, insulting or abusive language or gestures towards an official, coach, player or spectator/parent
- respect the rights, dignity and worth of every person regardless of their gender, ability, cultural background and/or religion
- not enter the field of play unless requested by an official
- never ridicule or yell at any person for making a mistake
- not engage in social media, forums, blogs or other electronic media to comment on teams, players, coaches, match officials or spectators/parents
- ensure the players safety is always a priority
- not consume alcohol before, during or following a match, or anywhere within the field of play or surrounds
- fulfil the mandatory Child Protection requirements.
Any person found to be using offensive, insulting and/or abusive language or gestures or acting in an intimidating manner in the presence of minors may receive a citing from the Northern Suburbs Football Association’s Protest, Disputes and Disciplinary Committee. Sentences can range anywhere from 1 fixture suspension to 24 months.
