UTS and Northbridge continue to set the pace in a gripping title race, creating clear separation from the rest of the competition as the league’s standout top two. UTS maintain the advantage after a commanding victory, while Northbridge stayed within touching distance thanks to a dramatic late winner.
Elsewhere, Hornsby Heights claimed an important result in the Match of the Round, while West Pennant Hills Cherrybrook continued their strong run of form with another victory.

Normanhurst Eagles 2 – 3 Northbridge FC
Northbridge entered the clash as favourites, aiming to extend their winning streak and keep the pressure on UTS in the title race. Despite struggling for form this season, Normanhurst Eagles came into the match determined to make an impact.
Travelling to Thornleigh Oval, Northbridge made the perfect start and took the lead through Valerie Chang. It looked as though they would carry that advantage into the break, but Normanhurst had other ideas, with Claire Nicholls finding the equaliser right on halftime to shift the momentum.
Northbridge responded strongly after the restart and regained the lead within minutes of the second half, as Chang grabbed her second of the afternoon. With control seemingly restored, the visitors looked set to see the game out, but Normanhurst refused to follow the script. Natasha Rowlands levelled proceedings once again for Normanhurst in the 74th minute.
With dropped points feeling costly in such a tight title race, Northbridge pushed for a winner. It was fitting that Valerie Chang delivered the decisive moment, completing her hat-trick in the 84th minute to secure all three points.
Normanhurst will take plenty of confidence from a spirited performance against one of the competition’s strongest sides, while Northbridge’s victory reinforces their credentials as genuine title contenders with their sights firmly set on top spot.
Hornsby Heights FC 2 – 1 North Sydney United
This week’s Match of the Round took place at Montview Oval, with Hornsby Heights aiming to finally break into the top six after weeks of knocking on the door. North Sydney United arrived looking to build momentum following last week’s victory after a difficult stretch of results.
Determined to turn Montview into a fortress, Hornsby Heights started strongly and were rewarded midway through the first half when Grace Perring broke the deadlock in an otherwise tightly contested opening period.
Holding a 1–0 lead at the break, Heights were challenged early in the second half as North Sydney emerged with renewed energy. Chelsea-Anne Nevison found the equaliser in the 53rd minute to bring the visitors level, but the response from Hornsby didn’t take long. Just six minutes later, Saba Murray restored the lead and swung the momentum back in favour of the home side.
The final half hour delivered plenty of tension as North Sydney pushed for another equaliser, but Hornsby Heights stood firm to secure a crucial three points — a result that sees them leapfrog their opponents on the ladder and strengthen their push towards the top six.
Macquarie Dragons 1 – 6 UTS FC
UTS have set the benchmark all season, and following a narrow penalty shootout defeat in the State Cup they now turn their full attention back to the league.
They delivered another reminder of why they sit at the top of the table with an emphatic display. Stefanie Aisbett continued her outstanding season in devastating fashion, completing a first-half hat-trick to put UTS firmly in control. Lillian Dummet also got on the scoresheet in the first half as the league leaders took a commanding advantage into halftime.
UTS showed no signs of slowing down in the second half. Aisbett capped off a brilliant individual performance with her fourth goal of the match, while Dummet added her second to extend the lead to 6–0.
Macquarie Dragons were able to find a late consolation goal and will take some positives from that, but this match ultimately belonged to UTS, who once again underlined their quality and displayed their title aspirations to the league.
This week, both Valerie Chang of Northbridge and Stefanie Aisbett of UTS are the Players of the Round, with two remarkable performances in crucial victories for their sides.
