Norman Griffiths Synthetic Approved

Norman Griffiths Synthetic Approved

After many years of lobbying, fundraising and perseverance, Ku-ring gai Council have approved the synthetic field upgrade of Norman Griffith Oval in West Pymble.

A huge congratulations and well done to Kevin Johnson and many others at West Pymble FC for their ongoing advocacy to council staff, Councillors and the football community. A second thanks must go to NSFA Facilities Manager Paul Orgad, for leading NSFA’s drive to better its facilities over the past six years and rallying our football community to ensure it went through – well done all.

Thank you to Ku-ring-gai Council for approving the project and recognising its importance to the local community. This will hopefully mean a bright future in our efforts to increase sports field capacity in the NSFA in line with the future demands outlined in the NSROC report.

Well done to everyone involved and thank you to those who submitted their support via the online public consultation.

In addition to the Norman Griffiths project, Ku-ring-gai Council is also progressing with natural turf upgrades at Wellington, Roseville and Primula during the off-season.
