Round 3 of the Men’s Premier League saw some massive results, with many teams showing their intentions for the season early on. Knox United got their first win of the season, whilst Lindfield let everyone know they are back with a comprehensive win against Chatswood. North Sydney United were victorious in the match of the round against Willoughby Dalleys.

Kissing Point FC 0 – 1 Knox United
The Round opened on Thursday night as Kissing Point hosted Knox United at Auluba. Knox came into the game winless, looking to get off the mark for the season. Kissing Point were coming into the game from a win in Round 2, looking to back it up to get their title defence up and running.
The first half saw a tight contest, which saw Zavier Lim open the scoring 5 minutes before halftime. Kissing point responded with two half time substitutions but couldn’t get back into the game after a second yellow for Thomas Siame in the 66th minute. Knox United were able to hold out and keep the scoreline at 1-0 with some strong defending and controversially with some help from a light malfunction.
Lindfield FC 6 – 1 Chatswood Rangers
Lindfield came into this one looking to make their mark after two disappointing losses to start the season. Chatswood came into the match looking to get their first win, after a draw and a loss in the opening rounds.
Lindfield clicked into gear, showing why they are one of the most successful clubs in the NSFA. A hattrick from Luke Klusman, a double from Harry Gleeson and one goal from Benji Sneds saw out a comprehensive 6-1 home victory for Lindfield, getting their season up and running with 3 points.
Willoughby Dalleys 0 – 4 North Sydney United
The match of the Round saw local teams Willoughby Dalleys and North Sydney United facing off at Cammeray Oval. Dalleys were looking to respond after two losses to start the season, whilst North Sydney United were looking to expand on their Round 1 win after being promoted into the division.
The first half lived up to the match of the round title, with an intense game resulting in 5 yellow cards being shown. The pressure paid for North Sydney who got the opener just before half time from Colm Walsh. They continued into the second half, with Walsh rounding off a hattrick in the 81st minute with a penalty, and Thomas Kalogerou topping it off in the 87th minute to make the score 4-0. Congratulations to Colm Walsh, who is the Player of the Round.

Northbridge FC 4 – 2 Hornsby Heights FC
Northridge were looking to continue their perfect start to the season, coming up against a Hornsby Heights team who were also yet to lose having won and drawn.
Northbridge showed their quality early in this one, going up 4-0 before half time thanks to a double from Maximilian Olesen and goals from Benjamin Dreger and Sonny Matchett. Heights were able to claw one back before the half, with Mason Smith scoring in consecutive games. They responded with two halftime substitutions, and a goal from Ben Fisher showed for their early pressure in the second half. Northbridge were able to prevent the comeback and won 4-2.
West Pymble 1 – 0 Berowra FC
The final match of the round promised to be a massive clash – West Pymble and Berowra both came into the match with two wins from two.
The game proved to be tense, with two quality sides staying locked at 0-0 heading into halftime after three yellow cards in the first half. The inspired substitution of Lewis Covey on at halftime proved to make the difference, as he scored the one and only goal of the game in the 57th minute.
