Spotlight: David Mudge

NSFA would like to congratulate David on being recognised by the Guinness World Records as the world’s oldest competitive football (soccer) player (male) at age 80.

David began playing football with Beecroft FC in 1958 in the U14 1/2 age group and subsequently played for Kissing Point FC (23 years), West Pymble FC (5 years) and Turramurra United FC (1 year) before returning to Kissing Point FC in 2022.

In addition to playing, David held various positions off the pitch such as Kissing Point President, Treasurer, Life Member, Junior team Coach/Manager and KDSA Referee.  He also occasionally helped out mowing Auluba Oval so that the pitches were ready for game days.

We thank David for not only his significant involvement and contribution to the sport but also the knowledge he has shared with NSFA players over the years.
