📢 Let’s all show RESPECT towards referees! 🙌
As the Northern Suburbs Football Association (NSFA) & Ku-ring-gai & District Football Referees Association (KDFRA), we have a strict zero-tolerance policy towards any kind of abuse towards our officials. We value and appreciate their contribution to the game.
Football is a safe, fun, and inclusive sport, and we are seeing more and more people getting involved. However, with this growth comes the need for more volunteers and referees. It is not acceptable for anyone, including children and young people, to be subjected to any form of abuse while participating in football.
We stand with our fellow associations, Football NSW, and the wider football community to spread the message of zero tolerance. Let’s keep it positive and fun for everyone involved!
As the #ShooshForKids campaign kicks off for the Month of May, we want to remind our community to treat all players, coaches, referees, and volunteers with respect throughout this month and the whole season.
Let’s remember that the referee is there to officiate the match to the best of their ability, just like the goalkeeper is there to make a save, the striker to score goals, and the coach to instruct. So, let’s stop the abuse in our game and RESPECT one another.
We are all Football People. Thank you to our community for doing your part! 💪
