What’s Best For Her Tournament

What’s Best For Her is about transforming the game through focusing on five pillars; players, coaches, building inclusive and empowering culture, pathways and media and communications. As part of our vision to create genuine equality we would like to provide players, coaches, and clubs a tournament experience that embodies the what’s best for her vision.

By bringing the football community together and providing an engaging and enjoyable experience to wrap up the season is a valuable to ensure players, coaches and clubs are inspired as we lead into 2023!

The What’s Best For Her (WBFH) Tournament is a one-day event for female players. There are two competitions within each Age Category in the WBFH Tournament:

  • WBFH Cup: for representative teams and high performing community teams
  • WBFH Shield: for community level teams.

Dates:

  • Combined G10/G11 Cup and Shield 7v7 – Monday 26 September 2022 
  • Combined G12/G13 Cup and Shield 7v7 – Tuesday 27 September 2022
  • Combined G14/G15/G16 Cup and Shield 8v8 – Wednesday 28 September2022

Registration:

Expression of Interest Open – 13 June 2022

Early Bird Team Registration Fee – $670 (register and pay before 5pm on 7 August 2022)

Team Registration Fee – $770 (from 8 August 2022)

Registrations Close 5pm on 5 September 2022 (unless fully subscribed earlier)

No extra fees charged for credit card etc.  

Team and Player Development Benefits of the WBFH Cup and WBFH Shield:

  1. End of season celebration and retention initiative for next season
  2. WBFH Cup provides high performing association teams a challenging environment to test themselves
  3. Opportunity to play another format in tournament competition
  4. Coaches can support team/player development with video footage

Tournament Features:

  1. All games played on quality synthetic fields
  2. Tournament management software to keep updated with the draw, scores, tables
  3. Official referees
  4. First Aid personnel onsite
  5. Match balls supplied
  6. Trophies – Winners Trophy/Medals and MVP
  7. Games filmed using VEO cameras and shared with team coaches
  8. BBQ and drinks for sale
