Last Friday over 200 female footballers came together at NTRA for the NSFA Besteam Diamond League season launch.
Players from the eight Diamond League clubs and NSFA representative club Northern Tigers participated in a series of small-sided games, allowing them to meet other teams in a social environment while also enjoying their football.
The event was a celebration of the Diamond League program, recognising its place within the NSFA development pathway.
“Besteam Diamond League is the bridge between our local NSFA competitions and the Northern Tigers teams that play in Football NSW leagues,” explains NSFA Head of Female Football Eilidh Mackay.
“The players and coaches involved in Diamond League have put the effort in to achieve this position and commit themselves to a high-level development environment with support from the NSFA Football Department.”
In recognition of their selection in Diamond League, competition sponsor Besteam Sport presented each player with a FREE training kit, featuring the NSFA What’s Best For Her logo and trademark purple.
Thanks to Ku-ring-gai Mayor Jeff Pettett and Councillor Kim Wheatley for attending and supporting the event by helping present training kit to players on the night.
