Featuring Over 100 Players and a Women’s Premier League Guard of Honour
The Besteam Diamond League Launch kicked off on Sunday 30th April 2023 at Charles Bean Oval. The launch was an exciting event that drew a lot of attention, with over 100 Besteam Diamond League players taking to the field at halftime to showcase their skills.
The Besteam Diamond League juniors also had an opportunity to take part in the launch, giving the Women’s Premier League a guard of honour as they made their way onto the field. The juniors also served as mascots for their respective teams, adding to the festive atmosphere of the event.
Kristi Murphy, the Female Football Development Officer, had high praise for the launch, stating that “it was a great way to launch the season and showcase the new training jersey provided by Besteam.” The new training jersey was on full display during the launch, with the players looking sharp and ready to take on the upcoming season.
After the launch, the players had the chance to sit back and enjoy the A-League Women’s Grand Final, where Sydney FC took home the championship with a 4-0 win. It was a thrilling end to an already exciting day, and the players were able to unwind and enjoy the game together.
The Northern Suburbs Football Association expressed their gratitude to John Kowtan, the General Manager of Besteam Sport Australia & New Zealand, for his support of the event. Without his help, the launch would not have been possible. Further thank you to Deputy Mayor Barbara Ward, and Councillor Simon Lennon for their support.
Overall, the Besteam Diamond League Launch was a huge success, with players and fans alike looking forward to the start of the new season. It was an exciting way to kick things off, and everyone involved should be proud of what they accomplished. With the season now officially underway, there is sure to be plenty of exciting action on the field in the weeks and months ahead.
