Hornsby Heights FC 1 – 4 UTS FC
UTS faced one of their toughest challenges in recent weeks as they faced Hornsby Heights. With a potential title-deciding clash against Northbridge looming next round, three points were crucial for the league leaders.
Hornsby Heights made the ideal start, taking the lead in the ninth minute after forcing an own goal. UTS remained composed, with Stefanie Aisbett restoring parity just six minutes later.
The sides went into the break level after an entertaining first half, but UTS wasted no time after the restart. Just three minutes into the second half, Lillian Dummett found the back of the net to put the visitors in front.
From there, UTS took control. Aisbett continued her outstanding season by adding two more goals to complete another hat-trick, leading her side to an impressive 4-1 victory and further cementing her status as the competition’s most prolific goalscorer.
The result keeps UTS four points clear of Northbridge heading into next week’s blockbuster meeting between the two sides. Victory would all but secure the league title, while a Northbridge win would set up a thrilling finish to the season.
Northbridge FC 4 – 1 North Sydney United
Northbridge entered the weekend knowing three points were essential to keep their title hopes alive ahead of next week’s blockbuster clash with UTS. Standing in their way were local rivals North Sydney United, who were determined to halt their title aspirations in one of the biggest derbies of the season.
The home side wasted little time asserting their dominance, controlling possession from the outset and turning that early pressure into the opening goal through Jenna Kim. North Sydney United regrouped well after the setback, tightening up defensively to limit further chances and keep themselves within touching distance at the break.
Northbridge came out firing again after halftime, with Hannah Young doubling the advantage in the 51st minute. North Sydney United refused to go away, reducing the deficit through Chelsea-Anne Nevison just over 10 minutes later to give themselves hope. However, Young quickly restored Northbridge’s two-goal cushion with her second of the afternoon, taking the momentum straight back.
Kika Baker added the finishing touch late in the match, sealing an impressive 4-1 victory for Northbridge. The result keeps the pressure firmly on league leaders UTS, with the top two now set to meet in a mouth-watering showdown next weekend.
Lindfield FC 4 – 0 Flying Bats FC
Fresh off claiming back-to-back State Cup titles last weekend, Lindfield returned to league action full of confidence. While the premiership may be out of reach, every point remains crucial as they look to build momentum heading into the finals. Their opponents, the Flying Bats, also had their sights set on securing finals, setting the stage for an important clash at Charles Bean.
Lindfield made a blistering start and wasted little time making their mark. Ciara O’Sullivan opened the scoring in the 14th minute before Eliza Apps doubled the advantage just three minutes later. Charlotte Patterson added a third in the 26th minute, and O’Sullivan completed her brace six minutes later as Lindfield produced a clinical first-half display to take a commanding 4-0 lead into the break.
The second half was a much tighter contest, with the Flying Bats regrouping well and enjoying more of the play. Despite the improved resistance, Lindfield remained organised and composed, shutting down any hopes of a comeback while professionally seeing out the match to secure a convincing clean-sheet victory.
The three points move Lindfield two points clear in third place with a game in hand, strengthening their position inside the top four and providing the perfect platform to build confidence ahead of the finals.

Northern Galaxy 0 – 2 Epping FC
Northern Galaxy entered the clash looking to snap their recent poor run of form, but faced an Epping side full of confidence after a strong stretch of results. With three points on offer, Epping were determined to strengthen their push to finish on top of the bottom half of the ladder.
The opening half was a tightly contested affair, with both teams searching for the breakthrough but unable to create the decisive moment. Despite chances at both ends, the sides went into the break locked at 0-0.
Epping wasted no time after half-time, breaking the deadlock just three minutes into the second half when Karen Koh found the back of the net. Buoyed by the opener, the visitors continued to control possession and doubled their advantage 10 minutes later, with Koh completing a brace.
From there, Epping defended resolutely to see out the match, securing a deserved 2-0 victory and an important three points in their bid to finish the season strongly.
Rest of the Round
Normanhurst claimed victory over Beecroft FC, allowing Epping to establish a four-point lead ahead of the final rounds. Macquarie Dragons defeated Putney Rangers to give them hope of jumping Beecroft in second.
