Modified Coaching Courses to Continue in 2023

After a successful pilot in 2022, NSFA will continue to deliver the new “Blocked Approach” to delivering its Skill Training and Game Training community coaching courses for the 2023 season.

“Even with a rain-interrupted start to the season, the flexibility of the blocked structure allowed us to deliver 236 engagement opportunities to local coaches,” commented NSFA Coach Development Manager Jake Stephenson.

“The ability to deliver several online Introduction to Coaching Modules (Block 1), gave several coaches the confidence to then progress onto Blocks 2 and 3, where in the past they may not have even signed up at all due to the old structure of requiring a full weekend.”

“Having breaks in between the modules also allowed for participants to reflect on their learnings before receiving new information – we had great engagement and feedback throughout the season.”

Dates for the 2023 NSFA Coach Education calendar have now been released, with several Blocked Approach opportunities from late February onwards.
