INSPIRE FC to further support local coaches

Northern Suburbs Football Association are pleased to announce the evolution of the INSPIRE Coach Support platform as we strive to deliver best-practice coach education, support and development to the 1,200 coaches in the region.

In its fifth year of widespread use throughout NSFA, INSPIRE has become a cornerstone of support to the region’s grassroots coaches, providing simple, accessible and engaging content to support coaches on their journey throughout the season. Since 2017, the INSPIRE resources have serviced over 3,000 coaches by providing session plans, articles, blogs, videos and podcasts to support coaches as they create a positive playing environment and experience for their players.

In 2022, INSPIRE will be relaunched as ‘INSPIRE FC’ becoming an online video platform to further service and support our coaches, along with providing ongoing coach development opportunities to people wherever they are, whenever they have time. Accessibility is key in supporting our volunteer workforce and we believe through the ongoing support and development of coaches we can provide a better football experience for all involved, increase our retention rate of players and coaches in the game and ultimately improve the development of all involved.

NSFA CEO Edward Ferguson was thrilled to announce the evolution of the platform.

“INSPIRE has been a vital tool to many coaches over the years, making their lives easier, coaching less stressful and overall their experience with football more enjoyable.

“The Inspire FC platform steps this up a level, mirroring a Netflix type platform and interaction to support coaches and provide them unique, accessible insights into great grassroots coaches, minds, and activities.

“The future of coach education is here and I am proud to support this and be an early adopter within grassroots football in Australia.”

The platform will continue to provide NSFA coaches free access to session plans, seasonal guides, coaching tips, coach education workshops and much more. The platform will encompass 100 videos and will be available to users via desktop and mobile phone app.

“Inspire FC’s new innovative online coaching platform will add much needed provision to the core of grassroots football,” added Jake Stephenson, NSFA Coach Development Manager.

“Whether you’re a volunteer, parent, guardian or helper, this exciting industry leading coach development resource serves to support you.

The platform aims to inspire and upskill those selfless individuals who have taken on the added responsibility of coaching a group of players within the grassroots game.

We hope that Inspire FC enhances the quality and enjoyment of Australian grassroots football for all.”

On top of the newly evolved platform, Inspire FC will be launching its online Grassroots Coaching Conference in March 2022. Be sure to check out the line-up via the website or through social media.

The guest list boasts brilliant minds of football from Australia and abroad, with announcements to come across social media over the coming weeks.
