Walking Football is designed as a team-based exercise program, adhering to the defined ‘Walking Football Rules and Formats.’
The game is played without physical contact, and participants are required to keep one foot on the ground at all times. This inclusive approach welcomes players of all backgrounds, including those who have never played football before.
• Matches are played with modified formats (5v5/6v6/7v7) on smaller pitches with shortened game times with simple rules including no kicks above shoulder height and no heading.
• Walking Football aims to provide participants with physical & mental health benefits, social contentedness and promotion of the benefits of ongoing physical activity.
Comenarra Field in Turramurra serves as the venue for these walking football competitions, with entry accessible from Nimbrin Street. Participants can join the program every Wednesday night throughout the year, from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM. The cost per session is $5.00 in cash, making it an affordable option for individuals seeking an enjoyable exercise routine.
Those interested in giving Walking Football a try are encouraged to come along to the Wednesday night sessions or reach out via email to walkingfootball@wpfc.com.au , walking@berowrafc.org.au or
