The NSFA Board has appointed Tate Macpherson as our new Head of Football. Tate will lead football across NSFA and Northern Tigers FC.
Tate joins us from North Wellington FC in Wellington, where he’s currently Director of Football. Before New Zealand he spent six years at Watford FC, was Technical Director of the Paris Saint-Germain Academy in London, and had a stint with Melbourne Victory’s academy. He’s currently completing his OFC A Licence.
“I’m thrilled to have been offered the Head of Football role and am really looking forward to starting. Having worked across community and grassroots clubs through to well recognised professional European set ups, I feel energised and passionate about using my experience to help guide, grow and support the local environment.
I’d like to thank the Board for the trust they’ve shown in me. I’m really looking forward to getting started!”
Tate is relocating to Sydney and starts with us on Monday 11th January 2027.
