President’s Dinner Award Winners

President’s Dinner Award Winners

On Saturday November 3 the 2018 NSFA President’s Dinner was held at the Kirribilli Club in Lavender Bay.

Members of all 30 NSFA clubs, local dignitaries and sponsors were present to celebrate another successful and enjoyable year of football.

Six valued members of our community were recognised with President’s Awards – Brett Backhouse (Chatswood Rangers), Greg Fuchs (West Pymble), Kym Griffen (Northbridge), Paul Grundy (Lindfield), Verity Stone (Northern Tigers) and John Warren (Hornsby RSL).

The NSFA Club Championship, calculated by the number of points obtained in competition age groups divided by the number of games played, was awarded to St Ives Football Club.

The winners of the MVP awards for Men’s Premier League and Women’s All-Age Division 1 were unveiled to those in attendance. Emma Hannigan of Northbridge B was recognised as the eminent player in WAA1, while Alex Moth (North Sydney United) secured back-to-back MVP awards for MPL in a closely-fought race against Alex Drake of Chatswood Rangers.

Seb Bendall (West Pymble) and Linda Carroll (Northbridge A) were recognised as Golden Boot winners of MPL and WAA1 with 16 and 15 goals respectively. It was a second consecutive Golden Boot award for Carroll, who topped the charts with 17 goals for Northbridge A in the 2017 season.

The Fair Play trophies for Men’s Premier League and Men’s All-Age Division 2 were awarded to Old Barker and Berowra respectively.

NSFA would like to congratulate all recipients on their achievements in 2018.
