Recycle and Replant for Goodness 2023

Recycle and Replant for Goodness 2023

Spare Club Kit? Leftover boots or have you outgrown them? Looking to donate old sports uniforms?

The Sustainable Sports NSFA Program is collecting sports gear in November 2023.

All gear collected will be donated to an Indigenous Wellness through Sport Program for youth led by Gerry Gomez and a number of ex-Socceroos players.

What can you donate?

Clubs or individuals can donate any gear that has a second life – boots, socks, shin-pads, shorts, shirts, jackets, balls and other equipment.

How to donate!

The gear must be washed, clean and sorted into adult, junior and youth playing gear. Please tie boot laces together so we don’t loose a pair. We encourage paper bags, not plastic bags and please write the size/s on the bag/s. This helps all the youth volunteers.

Why donate?

On donating your gear, we aim to stop landfill of sports gear and to repurpose and reuse gear that still has a second life. All who donate on the day will also receive a tree sapling to plant, to help build our local carbon storage systems.

When and Where to donate?

There are two donation points for the gear, which will be collected and donated to: (1) Indigenous Youth Health and Wellness programs cross NSW and NT as well as (2) to rural towns that have been hit by floods and fires.
