Northern Suburbs Football Association (NSFA) & North West Sydney Football (NWSF) Launch combined Over 55’s competition in 2024.
We are excited to announce that the NSFA has joined forces with North West Sydney Football (NWSF) to form a combined Men’s Over 55 competition.
Both associations launched Over 55’s football for the first-time last season. To further improve the playing experience of members, NSFA & NWSF have combined resources to form a two-team division. In total there are 18 teams between the two associations.
The decision to combine competitions was made after consultation with team managers from the respective teams. Due to the lack of depth in the age group, there was a significant disparity between the top and bottom teams resulting in some one-sided scorelines. Having two divisions will provide a more enjoyable experience for all players and result in more competitive divisions.
NSFA will be responsible for administering division 1, with NSWF managing division 2. The two associations will share resources such as grounds and referees.
