The Men’s Premier League delivered another unforgettable weekend of community football at its best. Hat tricks, giant killers, 12-goal thrillers, and a four-goal comeback in the derby – this league just keeps on producing. At this point, you have to ask… is this the best league in the world?

Lindfield FC 1 – 0 Willoughby Dalleys
The three points on offer were vital for both sides, with each team desperate to turn around a slow start to the season. A win would not only double their points tally but also create valuable separation from the teams around them on the ladder.
Friday night under lights at Charles Bean set the stage for a tense contest, and it was Lindfield who made the brighter start. Sebastian Croker opened the scoring in the 11th minute, giving the home side an early advantage that they carried into halftime. Dalleys pushed hard for a response in the second half, with both teams fully aware of the importance of the result. The intensity of the contest showed, with Lindfield picking up three yellow cards and Dalleys reduced to ten men late in the match following a red card.
In the end, Lindfield’s early strike proved the difference, securing a hard-fought three points in a physical battle that could prove important as the season begins to take shape.
Knox United 1 – 1 West Pymble FC
Knox came into this clash in strong form, having picked up two wins and a narrow defeat to the league leaders the week prior. West Pymble, meanwhile, sat near the top of the ladder but were eager to return to winning ways after consecutive draws.
The match burst into life early at NTRA, with Nicholas Burnett giving West Pymble the lead in just the 6th minute. Knox responded well, and Oliver Schliebs found the equaliser ten minutes later to level the contest at 1-1. Both sides searched for a breakthrough in the second half, but the defensive resilience was on full display. Despite chances at both ends, neither side could find a winner as the points were shared.
The result leaves Knox sitting in 7th place, while West Pymble remain the league’s only unbeaten side, with three wins and three draws keeping them in 3rd on the ladder.
Kissing Point 5 – 4 Northbridge FC
Northbridge entered the round as the league’s form side, opening the season with an impressive five straight victories. Kissing Point, however, had begun to rediscover the form that saw them finish first last season, coming into the clash on the back of consecutive wins and eager to make a statement against the competition leaders.
The home side produced a composed first-half performance, with Jack Hocking opening the scoring before Lachlan Marlin doubled the advantage to send Kissing Point into the break with a deserved 2-0 lead. Marlin struck again early in the second half to make it 3-0, but the contest quickly exploded into life. Nathan Baxter pulled one back for Northbridge just three minutes later, before Benjamin Dreger added another in the 58th minute to suddenly cut the margin to one goal.
Kissing Point responded brilliantly, with Marlin completing his hat-trick in the 65th minute to restore the two-goal cushion. Joel Ono again brought Northbridge within reach before Hocking grabbed his second of the match to make it 5-3.
Northbridge refused to give up, and Sonny Matchett found the net in added time to set up a tense finish, but it proved too late as Kissing Point held on for a thrilling 5-4 victory. The result moves Kissing Point up into 4th place and hands Northbridge their first defeat of the season, although they remain on top of the ladder.
Congratulations to Lachlan Marlin, whose remarkable hat trick in an important victory for the home side makes him the Player of the Round.

Chatswood Rangers 4 – 8 North Sydney United
Chatswood Rangers were searching for form and hoping to kickstart their season at home, while North Sydney United arrived full of confidence after an outstanding start to life following promotion. A win for the visitors would see them leapfrog West Pymble into 2nd place on the ladder.
What followed was just unbelievable. North Sydney burst out of the blocks early, with James Dyer and Rafferty McGuinness firing the visitors into a 2-0 lead. Chatswood responded immediately through Omar Edlebi and Tomas Urtubey, drawing level at 2-2 inside just 21 minutes in a frantic opening spell. The goals continued to flow, with Lachlan Whitehead restoring North Sydney’s advantage before Edlebi grabbed his second of the afternoon to once again level the scores. Colm Walsh then found the net to hand the visitors a 4-3 lead heading into halftime after an extraordinary first 45 minutes.
Chatswood struck straight after the restart, with Zac Lorge calmly converting from the penalty spot to make it 4-4 and give the home side belief for the second half. However, North Sydney United showed exactly why they have been one of the standout sides this season. Thomas Kalogerou added another in-between three second-half goals from Rafferty McGuinness – including two penalties – to complete a remarkable four-goal performance.
In the end, North Sydney’s attacking quality proved too much in a thrilling encounter with the scoreline ending at 8-4 to the away side, continuing their outstanding campaign and strengthening their position to second on the ladder.
Berowra FC 3 – 4 Hornsby Heights FC
After a huge Saturday of Premier League action that had already produced 23 goals across three games, Berowra and Hornsby Heights somehow found another level, serving up what may well be the game of the season so far.

The momentum quickly shifted, and Daniel Gatsi struck in the 66th minute to suddenly cut the deficit to one goal. Berowra began to feel the pressure as Heights surged forward searching for an equaliser. The breakthrough finally came in the 83rd minute, when Mason Smith once again delivered for the Hornets, levelling the contest at 3-3 and stunning the home crowd.
Yet the chaos was not over.
Just three minutes later, Lawrence Frederick stepped up and expertly converted a penalty into the top corner to complete an extraordinary turnaround and give Heights an unbelievable 4-3 lead. Berowra threw everything forward in the dying moments, but an important late save ensured Hornsby Heights completed one of the most memorable derby results in recent times.
From 3-0 down to 4-3 winners, the Hornets produced a result that moves them to within one point of Berowra on the ladder, but more importantly, gives them local bragging rights at the end of what was a fantastic day of community football at Back to Berowra Day 2026.
