April 2024 Coach Education Courses

We’re delighted to announce that NSFA will continue to deliver the new Football Australia Foundation of Football Coaching Course across April, which is a pre-requisite for the new Football Australia C-Diploma Coaching Course.

The cost of the Foundation of Football course is $100 per person, and NSFA are excited to announce that if you are a coach from within the NSFA region we are subsiding 50% of the course fee. This aligns with our continued focus to invest in coach development opportunities for all. The 50% discount will be refunded to you after your accreditation is complete.

Foundation of Football Course Description:

1. Aimed at volunteer parents and coaches working with advanced beginner to competent level players or players aged up to approximately fifteen (15) years old.
2. This course is a prerequisite for the C Diploma.
3. You will participate in practical sessions covering the basics of techniques as well as learning about basic playing principles of the game. The course is mostly practical and not graded, allowing the student to participate in the training sessions if they so choose. The course also promotes participating in group discussions with the goal of exchanging experiences.

UPCOMING FOUNDATION OF FOOTBALL COURSES:

Before registering for a Foundation of Football course, you must sign up on PlayFootball as a coach first:

1. Sign Up as a coach on PlayFootball and link with the club you are coaching with for 2024 – https://www.playfootball.com.au/club-registration-search

2. Note – Participants/Learners are now required to have had an ACTIVE registration (2023 or 2024) as either a referee or a coach to gain access. If a participant/learner has not yet registered for the 2024 season or is not coaching, we have established new learner clubs which should be utilised to facilitate course registrations – https://www.playfootball.com.au/coach.

Time: 6:00pm – 7:30pm

Prior to registering on any Miniroos course above, please complete the below details 1,2 & 3:

In addition to the practical sessions on the course, on the FA Learning Centre please ensure you complete two online modules below. Each module hosts a series of info slides and great coaching tips and is followed by 10 questions to check understanding and learnings, which takes roughly 10mins to complete:
