Dear members,
I hope everyone has taken the time to refresh over the past 10 days and are now feeling ready to dive back into our season.
As per the NSW Government announcement yesterday, we will be in lockdown until 11:59pm Friday 16th July.
As per the directive from Football NSW, all football activity during this time is suspended and therefore participants are not covered by our Personal Accident insurance.
During this time however we encourage players to remain fit and active, teams to remain in contact with each other and coaches to engage their teams via Zoom or other means in preparation for the season return.
Yours in football,
Ed Ferguson – NSFA CEO
Competitions Update
The Competitions Department has put together two competition calendars. One is for the return of
football on the 17th July and the other is for the 24th July. Further updates will be released if the
season is postponed beyond the 24th July.
MiniRoos
MiniRoos will resume as per the competition fixtures, with a regrade occurring as normally scheduled.
Finals Series – Cancelled
NSFA’s overarching principle when determining the competition schedule/format is ‘Maximising
game time for every player’. We want to ensure that all teams are playing games right up until the
last weekend of the season which is why we have made the decision to cancel Finals.
Cups & Shields – Cancelled
All Cup & Shield competitions have also been cancelled. Our priority is completing all competitions
which will require games to be played mid-week. Unfortunately, we do not have enough weeks left
in the season to schedule cup & shield fixtures.
FNSW Competitions – TBA
