
The Paul Davies Cup intends to promote the continued growth of High School aged boys participating in our weekly competitions.
Bringing together primary school teams from across the Northern Suburbs of Sydney, the tournament intends to provide a fun and enjoyable playing experience for boys to showcase their skill and teamwork whilst representing their school.
The Paul Davies Cup is free to enter for all schools based in the NSFA region!
2026 Tournament Details
The NSFA Paul Davies Cup will take place across two days in 2026 at North Turramurra Recreation Area, providing high school boys from Years 7–12 the opportunity to take part in our association-wide football gala day.
Due to strong demand from schools and team organisers, the tournament will move to Term 1 in 2026.
Junior – Years 7 & 8 (9v9 playing format): Monday, 16th February 2026
Intermediate – Years 9 & 10 (9v9 playing format): Tuesday, 17th February 2026
Senior – Years 11 & 12 (9v9 playing format): Tuesday, 17th February 2026
Each day will bring together schools and boys from throughout the Northern Suburbs of Sydney, inviting over 40 schools, stretching from Neutral Bay to Brooklyn. Each school can nominate up to 4 teams, with a competition winner awarded following our unique points system.
The day intends to celebrate boys playing football, bringing together regular players and non-players to showcase the inclusiveness, enjoyment and camaraderie football as a sport provides.

Behind the Name
- Paul Davies is the most capped Northern Tigers 1st Grade Men’s Player with 208 caps.
- He was captain of the 1st Grade Team for several years and was notably awarded the Silver Medal for Best Player in the Super League in 2006.
- Played with Northern Tigers Football Club from 2005-2016
- Paul was originally a Berowra FC junior, joining the club as a junior and playing with them up until U11’s. Paul represented Ku Ring Gai Association in U11/12 at the same time as playing for club, before joining NPL Youth.
- Paul then re-joined his boyhood club Northern Tigers in 2005, helping the 1st grade Men’s team to its first-ever Super League Championship in 2010 under coach Jason Eagar.
- Paul still lives locally to the NSFA and remains involved in the Tigers community, often attending and participating in presentation evenings and season launch events.
