In Part 2 of our look at NSFA records we concentrate on Men’s (Now Senior Mixed) and Women’s football.
Men’s football began in 1961 with an All Age competition. The original clubs competing were Bradfield Britannia, Cowan, Lindfield, Milson Island, Mt Colah, Tartan Tigers (now Berowra) and 2 teams from Wahroonga. The British migrants from Bradfield Britannia were the Premiers.
Women’s football returned to NSFA in 1998 with 2 All Age competitions, both of which were won by Asquith Soccer Club. Joining Asquith in that year were teams from Kissing Point (3 teams), Lindfield, Mt Colah, Northbridge (2), North Sydney, St Ives and UTS (3).
