XLR8 hits record registrations in July holidays

With the school holidays now over, we’re excited to confirm that we received over 600 registrations, breaking our all-time record for a single school holidays!

Our coaching team continues to grow, with 27 coaches working across four venues to deliver eight clinics and our XLR8 Mini World Cup.

Mixed Clinics

This holidays we conducted Mixed Clinics in both weeks at NTRA and Charles Bean Oval, amassing 336 registrations across the four clinics. We also held our first ever clinic at Thomson Park in Artarmon and returned to Chatswood High School, doubling our registration numbers from last holidays!

Girls Clinics

For the first time we ran TWO Girls Holiday Clinics, heading to our usual stomping ground, Charles Bean Oval, in Week 1 before hosting our first ever Girls Holiday Clinic at NTRA in Week 2.

We were overwhelmed by the response to the new clinic location at NTRA, with 43 girls signing up to make it our biggest girls clinic ever!

Mini World Cup

On Friday, July 13th, all eyes turned to NTRA for our XLR8 Mini World Cup, featuring 12 teams from across the region and beyond.

With team matches mixed in with individual challenges, the players had no shortage of football action!

Congratulations to Miles from Germany for finishing the day as our individual challenge winner, while it was Uruguay who came out on top in the final in a close match against Spain!

Roary

After helping us promote our holiday clinics across the NSFA in the weeks leading up to the end of term, Northern Tigers mascot Roary made some surprise appearances at our holiday clinics!

Developing local players

The key aim of all XLR8 programs is to provide NSFA players with access high quality coaching and player development opportunities. It has been great so see so many players attending our holiday clinics proudly sporting their local club gear! We appreciate the efforts of all clubs who have helped promote the XLR8 programs to their players.
